the death denominator

Death is the denominator of all entities. It is the zero equivalent which equates the entity with infinity. Death is the logical conclusion of life, yet it is always seen as a cause of grief. Anything which attempts a denial of logic is the result of ignorance. All beings experience the emotion of grief upon the loss of a dear life. How should one handle the event of death of a dear one? It is a moment of humbling.

The lifeless body is a form of basic existence which is uniform for all beings. The time spent in that body when it had life has no meaning once the light of life is shut off. The dead body of a saint or a sinner, poor or rich, valiant or the coward, all are the same. So how much of the energy in life do we spend on the well being of the physical form the body every day ? Almost all of it. Is it worth the effort? Death is the ultimate neutralizer of all worldly distinctions, attained by any entity in its life time. So the body goes, but the deeds remain. Even a dead wood survives much longer in its physical form than the far superior human form. What is the learning? Every occasion of death around us is a message that we are in queue. We can choose to sit still and wait for it or move on. Any which way, we can not influence the course of death, which is as imminent as the fact of our being alive. Life and death both are real to our physical form. Death is beyond influence but life is guided by conscience. So how do we live with the reality of death in and around us?

One must take out at least some time every day to reflect on the “why” of living. One must think of the five most important things one would feel unfinished if one were to die that moment. These are the things one must endeavor to accomplish. The energies of life get a definite direction if the being is aware of the imminent death and the definite span of time that is granted in any physical form. It also purifies the actions as the being is aware of the futility of most of the endeavors. Only that which is pure and essential need be performed. This naturally elevates the quality of life to a level where the beings become aware of the core of their existence. The inquisitions are directed inwards, and answers follow from the introspection. The life as experienced by the physical form becomes the distinct separate layer, and being is conscious of the self, although may still not be fully aware of it. This stage in itself defines the correction in general perspective on the subject of death, which erroneously interprets it as synonymous with the end. The fallacy of this interpretation lies in the fact that a circle has no beginning and hence no end. It is the ad continuum of this cycle that makes the experience of grief fallacious. All experiences of the world are such fallacies, but we may choose to live with those which facilitate awareness of self. Grief is one such experience, and the occasion should be looked at as a blessing, and be understood as such. This would neutralize any negative connotations attached with the emotion of grief, and it will be a true opportunity of awakening.
